Responsibilities and Expectations for Parents

  • Timely Pickup and Drop-off: Follow strict sign-in and sign-out protocols and pick up children before the facility closes.
  • Communication: Read program updates, inform staff immediately about schedule or pickup changes, and share relevant medical or behavioral needs.
  • Behavioral Alignment: Reinforce the program’s code of conduct and rules at home so children experience consistent expectations between school, home, and aftercare.
  • If your child has a fever, please keep child home for 24 hours after the fever is gone.
  • Please provide correct cell number, email and any contact information. Please keep Kidz with Hope Youth Organization inform of new contact information.
  • Please be support of the program and goals by encourage your children to participate with consistence.

Life Skills will be integrated into all of Kidz with Hope Youth Organization’s initiatives throughout the year. Kidz with Hope have staff skilled in discussing these issues.

Why After School Homework Club

  • After-school programs improve academic performance, enhance safety especially in the peak hours of after school, and teaches important social skills.
  • Homework Support increases regular class and school attendance.
  • Is has also been proven the hours between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. are the peak hours for juvenile crime and experimentation with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and sex. Afterschool programs are risk prevention program because children are supervised by adults that allow them to engage healthy behaviors.
  • After-school programs improve interaction between children and their peers and adults because it provides a structured, with low-stress environment where children can feel safe at taking risk of making new friends and answering homework questions.

Homework Club Rules

Respect and Behavior

  • Use kind words: Treat staff, volunteers, guest, and peers with respect, and avoid foul language.
  • Keep hands to yourself: No hitting, kicking, pushing, or rough play is allowed.
  • Listen to staff: Follow instructions given by program leaders the first time they are given.
  • Show respect when asking questions.
  • Incomplete homework assignments mean students will not be able to participate in the other activities.

Safety and Movement

  • Stay with the group: Never leave a designated room without an adult’s permission.
  • Walk indoors: Move calmly inside the building to prevent slips and falls.
  • No personal electronics: Keep phones, tablets, and gaming devices put away unless a teacher gives permission for homework.
  • Students go to the bathroom one at a time.
     

Care and Cleanup

  • Respect the space: Take care of toys, books, equipment, and facility property.
  • Clean up messes: Throw away trash and put games or supplies back where they belong before moving to a new activity.

Prepare for Home

  • Make sure you have all clothing items. (ex. sweater, coat, jacket, gloves or scarf)
  • Make sure you pick all trash off the floor before you leave.
  • Make sure your books are in your book bag.
  • Do not leave the building before you are told to do so.

I agree that, once lawfully used, photographs or videos of my child will become the sole property of Kidz with Hope Youth Organization Incorporated, and I will have no ownership rights to them.
